Orthodontic / Braces

Braces

Braces are orthodontic devices used to align teeth and restore them to their proper position.

Invisalign

A successive use of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign can straighten your teeth without the use of braces.

Temporary Anchorage Device

Tempoary Anchorage Devise (TAD) is usually in the form of mini-screw implants.   It will shorten orthodontic treatment time. In some cases, it will provide better results than just conventional orthodontic treatment alone.

Impacted Teeth Surgery / Orthodontic

When a tooth doesn’t erupt into its normal position (called impacted teeth), surgery is needed to expose the impacted tooth.  Then subsequent orthodontic treatment will be necessary to bring the tooth into its proper position.

Phase I Interceptive Orthodontic

Most people have the misconception that orthodontic treatment can only be done after the age of 12 or 13 (after all the adult teeth have fully erupted). However, many parents are unaware that Phase I Interceptive Orthodontics will minimize the need for adult teeth extraction and will shorten braces treatment time for their children. Dr. Suen initiated Phase I Interceptive Orthodontics on his son when he was only age 6 ½ years old. Phase I Interceptive Orthodontics may use multiple appliances. Treatment time can last from 2 to 7 years.

Pre-Prosthetic Orthodontic

If missing teeth are not replaced soon, adjacent or opposing teeth may drift into the missing tooth’s space. If they drift far enough, the adjacent or opposing teeth will prevent the making of prosthesis (like dentures or bridges). Pre-prosthetic orthodontics is necessary to bring the tooth tip or super-erupted teeth back into its normal position before denture or bridges can be made.
